Participation of Fedora in the Engineering Week

On August 3th, the Fedora local team had a booth at Universidad Interamericana de Panamá as our contribution for the Engineering Week that this university organizes.

We shared our experiences with the projects managed within Fedora. Ariel Barría, José Reyes, Luis Bazán and me were the representatives. Only one student got interested and now he is in-process of getting involved with Fedora.

On August 5th, the Fedora local team gave several presentations for the students of Engineering at Universidad Latina de Panamá as our contribution for the Engineering Week that this university organizes.

José Reyes gave a talk titled "Free Software and Fedora 22", Luis Segundo gave a talk titled "Introduction to Firefox OS using Fedora" and I spoke about "Docker" and "The Fedora Community". The students were very interested. At the end of the event, one student talked to us and now he is in-process of getting involved with Fedora.

It is important to mention that this was the first participation of José Reyes, representing the Fedora local team. I would like to thank both universities for the opportunity to share the Fedora experience with the students.
